Abstract
Though cutaneous and oral manifestations of giant-cell arteritis are relatively rare, they are sometimes early and sufficiently characteristic to have diagnostic value. The literature pertaining to dermatologic and oral manifestations of this disorder is reviewed and those previously reported are listed. There are 23 in all, ranging from simple pallor to gangrene. A classical case involving the superficial temporal arteries is reported.
