Abstract
This is the first report of a pruritic, vesicular dermatitis due to the beetle Oxycopis vittata (Fabricius). Experimental reproduction of the disease was achieved in volunteer subjects. Histologic examination of biopsy material revealed subepidermal vesicle formation and moderate mononuclear perivascular infiltrate in the mid and upper dermis.
