Abstract
Exuberant verrucose lesions as the exclusive cutaneous signs of sarcoidosis are rare and have been reported only in Negroes. Automanipulation of all the clinical granulomatous lesions was the apparent pathogenetic influence responsible for the verrucose features of granulomas in a young Negro man since a similar heightened epidermal response was not seen in the unmanipulated granulomas of a Kveim skin test and postvenipuncture papule.
