Abstract
A patient with cutaneous lesions as a manifestation of systemic infection with Mycobacterium kansasii is described. To our knowledge, this is the fourth reported case of a patient with dermatologic lesions secondary to M kansasii infection. A brief review of the classification and clinical presentations of atypical mycobacteria is given.
