Chronic Papular Dermatitis of the Scrotum due to Schistosoma mansoni

Abstract

A 17-year-old boy with chronic papules of the scrotum showedno improvement after topical therapy. A skin biopsy specimenshowed Schistosoma mansoni eggs. No evidence of bladder or bowelinvolvement was found. No treatment is necessary for schistosomalinfections without severe symptoms or excessive egg production.
