Book Matches as a Source of Chromate

Abstract
The use of book matches involves the risk of contamination of the hands with chromate, and high relative humidity of the atmosphere and clamminess of the hands facilitates dissolution of, and thereby contamination of the hands, with chromate from the heads of the matches.
