Transplantation of Basal Cell Epithelioma to the Rabbit
WILLIAM GERSTEIN, MD

Abstract
Basal cell epitheliomas were transplanted to the anterior chamber of the rabbit's eye but did not grow. This site can support growth of certain malignant heterologous tumors which have ability to metastasize. Lack of successful transplantation is in keeping with the clinical observation that these tumors seldom metastasize.
