Behcet's Disease With Neurologic Involvement

Report of a Case

HANS F. KIPPING, MD; SELBERT A. CHERNILA, MD

Arch Dermatol. 1964;89(1):81-85.

Abstract

In summary, the clinical course of Behcet's disease, its histopathology, regional incidence, and occasional sibling occurrence, together with sporadic virus isolation, has suggested the theory of a virus etiology, but it has not been established. Virus studies would be of interest during the first three weeks in a suspected case. Behcet's disease with involvement of the central nervous system has a poor prognosis.
