E. J. VAN SCOTT, MD; R. AUERBACH, MD; G. D. WEINSTEIN, MD

Arch Dermatol. 1964;89(4):550-556.

Abstract

This report discusses the biochemical, biological, and pharmacological actions of folic acid antagonists on the lesion of psoriasis and other tissues of the body.

Clinical experience and results in the treatment of psoriasis with parenteral methotrexate are reviewed. Weekly to biweekly injections of the drug were found to maintain improvement of the disease.
