Necrobiosis Lipoidica Diabeticorum Of the Scalp

GEORGE GAETHE, MD

Arch Dermatol. 1964;89(6):865-866.

Abstract

A case of necrobiosis lipoidica diabeticorum of the scalp in a Negro woman is reported. A study of the literature reveals only two cases reported as involving the scalp. The diagnosis was not conclusively established in either case.

We must be aware of the possibility that this disease occurs in other than the classical areas.
