Possible Analogous Cutaneous and Odontogenic Tumors

WILLARD C. PETERSON, JR., MD; ROBERT J. GORLIN, DDS

Arch Dermatol. 1964;90(3):255-261.

Abstract

Basal cell epithelioma, ameloblastoma, premalignant fibroepithelioma, ameloblastic fibroma, cutaneous calcifying epithelioma, and calcifying odontogenic cyst were compared microscopically. Due to their common origins in primary epithelial germ cells, it is not surprising that many similarities in microscopic morphology exist.
