A Clinical and Microbiological Study

Abstract
Data are presented which indicate that topically applied fluorometholone cream does not adversely affect the bacterial colonization of skin lesions. Three groups of subjects were studied: (1) 10 normal controls, (2) 29 patients with uninfected dermatoses, and (3) 22 patients with infected dermatoses. The response of the infected lesions to steroid treatment was more favorable than that of the uninfected lesions.
