Abstract
Alkaline phosphatase activity was found in the mucocutaneous sensory end-organs of the human clitoris and appears to be restricted to the non-neural substance surrounding the coiled nerve filaments. The distribution of the alkaline phosphatase in the sensory end-organs corresponds with that of the nonspecific cholinesterase.
