Abstract

A plea is made for the dermatologist to be interested and toparticipate actively in the rapidly expanding field of biomedicalengineering. This multidisciplined area offers not only devicesfor precise and minute measurements but also for new ideas formany phases of investigative dermatology. Biomedical engineeringwill also design and develop therapeutic apparatus for clinicaldermatology.
