Temporary Pigmentation in a Japanese Infant

Abstract

A peculiar temporary symmetrical pigmentary dermatosis was observed in a Japanese infant. Such a diffuse pigmentation is presumed to have occurred due to increased activity of the the temporarily stimulated melanocytes. The new designation melanosis temporalis infanta is proposed.
