Washing Machine and Fiberglass
ROBERT R. ABEL, MD
Arch Dermatol. 1966;93(1):78.
Abstract
For many years fiberglass has been known to cause itching. This is due to the mechanical irritation of the skin by tiny spicules of the fiberglass. Fiberglass is quite ubiquitous in the United States and people who handle it regularly have a healthy respect for it.
