Allergic Contact Dermatitis to a New Formula to Strengthen Nails
CYRIL H. MARCH, MD
Arch Dermatol. 1966;93(6):720.
Abstract
A case of allergic contact dermatitis to a new nail hardening formula put out by a well-known cosmetic firm is reported. This caused a subacute paronychia, onycholysis, and onychomadesis. Regrowth of the nails occurred normally after a topical steroid ointment was applied. Patch tests with the preparation confirmed the diagnosis.
