A Topographic Code for Use in Dermatology

FRED LEVIT, MD; HENRY A. EBERTSHAEUSER; SAMUEL M. BLUEFARB, MD

Arch Dermatol. 1966;94(4):480-481.

Abstract

In order to designate the location of skin lesions in data meant for computer processing, a four-digit random number code has been developed. It is more extensive than previously available codes and has the advantages of more efficient use of the available numbers and of easy expandability.
