Leukoplakia of the Conjunctiva

ALFRED W. KOPF, MD, MS; BURTON ALLYN, MD; RAFAEL ANDRADE, MD; MAURICE STRICKLAND, MD

Arch Dermatol. 1966;94(5):552-557.

Abstract

X-ray therapy using currently accepted techniques is a highly effective modality for eradication of basal-cell epitheliomas of the eyelids and gives good cosmetic and functional results with very few serious sequelae. One complication infrequently mentioned in the literature, namely, postradiation, benign leukoplakia of the conjunctiva, is reported in three instances.
