
Anhidrotic Effects of Adhesive Tapes and Occlusive Film

Abstract
The application of occlusive adhesive tapes for six days results in anhidrosis which persists for as much as three to four weeks thereafter. Physiology of the skin is materially affected both by tapes and occlusive films, and is related to dermal changes which may result.
