Abstract
A case of basal cell carcinoma of the mandibular gingiva is reported in a patient who also had multiple basal cell carcinomas on the face. The diagnosis is based on histologic findings which are described in detail. The histogenesis of basal cell carcinoma arising in oral mucous membrane is alluded to and it is suggested there may be a constitutional background favorable to basal cell carcinoma development in this patient.
