Arch Dermatol. 1967;95(5):487-489.
Abstract
The incidence of atopy in a population consisting essentially of housewives with hand eczema was compared with a similar population of housewives who did not have eczema.
Of 50 patients with hand eczema, 82% gave an atopic history for self, family, or both. Of 50 normal people, without eczema, 28% gave an atopic history for self, family, or both.
