WITH THIS month's issue, the Archives of Dermatology launches a new discussion forum on the Internet via our Web site (http://www.ama-assn.org/derm). In keeping with our goal of exploiting the interactive capabilities of the Internet to enhance the value of the ARCHIVES, the online discussion forum will provide a direct link between readers and authors where questions and comments are freely exchanged and debated. Each month an article published in the ARCHIVES will be featured for open discussion on the Internet, with the author(s) of the article having agreed in advance to participate in the forum by posting answers and commentary in direct response to issues posed by the readership. For our readers, this forum will allow direct and timely access to the investigators of a study or the proponents of a specific viewpoint, while our authors gain valuable feedback as well as a novel means by which they . . .
