REPORT OF A CASE
A 59-year-old woman was referred with a 6-month history of blue-gray lesions on her cheeks and chin. The lesions were not itchy or painful but caused her social embarrassment. She gave a history of phototherapy for acne as a teenager. She was otherwise well, apart from mild rheumatoid arthritis requiring only occasional simple analgesics, and had no family history of a similar skin problem. On examination, she had multiple 2- to 6-mm-diameter, firm, blue-gray nodules on her cheeks and chin (Figure 1 and Figure 2). There was also some scarring resulting from previous acne.
