The ARCHIVES Responds to Change: Call for Papers

IN THE YEAR 2000, the ARCHIVES will be devoting its September issue to advances in dermatologic surgery. This marks a milestone in the evolution of our journal. As the oldest peer-reviewed journal of dermatology in the nation, the ARCHIVES has striven for more than a century to provide the highest-quality peer-reviewed research and clinical information on all aspects of dermatology. We want to take this opportunity to express our strong interest in, support of, and commitment to the burgeoning subspecialty of dermatology broadly known as dermatologic surgery.

Dermatologic surgery is no longer an afterthought; it is embedded in the requirements of the Residency Review Committee for Board Certification in Dermatology. Residents throughout the country spend substantial time training in dermatologic surgery, and an increasing number of dermatologists undertake postresidency training in this area.
