Annual Trainee Award for 1998

THE ANNUAL Trainee Award is given to the dermatology resident or fellow who was the first author for the most meritorious original research article published in the ARCHIVES for the year ending in October. The award recipient is given a certificate of commendation, $100, and 100 Years of JAMA Landmark Articles. The award is presented at the Residents' Colloquium held during the annual meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology.

The awardee for 1998 (November 1997 to October 1998) is Todd R. Coven, MD, for his article, "Narrowband UVB Produces Superior Clinical and Histopathological Resolution of Moderate-to-Severe Psoriasis in Patients Compared With Broadband UVB," coauthored by Lauren H. Burack, MD, Patricia Gilleaudeau, RN, BSN, Mary Keough RN, BSN, Maki Ozawa, MD, and James G. Krueger, MD, PhD.
