In the very crowded world of cutaneous laser surgery textbooks, this book is a standout. The expert authors have a longstanding history of producing excellent textbooks in the field of dermatology and their experience shows in this book. This book is arranged in a very user-friendly and cohesive manner. Each chapter includes information regarding basic laser tissue interaction, great clinical photographs, and unique practical protocols for treatment. The latter is the highlight of this book and could certainly stand as a book all unto itself.

This book does an excellent job explaining all aspects of laser treatment. It is one thing to understand what laser parameters to use and it is quite another to understand the art of treatment. This includes patient selection, pretreatment and posttreatment instruction as well as the practical points, such as using diascopy to treat venus lakes and the risks of treating telangiectasias, to name just . . .
