IN THIS issue we are introducing a section titled "skINsight"; it will be on the inside back cover in most issues of the ARCHIVES.
The skINsight section is a forum for the presentation of dermatologic images and will be rich in color illustrations and stingy with text. Initially, the effort will be oriented toward images of dermatologic disease processes that appear to share similar patterns.
The recognition of these patterns should enhance both our diagnostic and research capabilities. The firstseveral months of skINsight will focus on dermoscopic images of melanocytic and nonmelanocytic lesions. As the section progresses, dermatologic images from other sources will also be presented (clinical, microscopic, confocal, ultrasound, thermal). We hope the readership of the ARCHIVES will find skINsight as educational to the mind as it is pleasing to the eye.
