REPORT OF A CASE

An 82-year-old man presented with 2 adjacent nodular lesions on his nose that were preventing him from balancing his spectacles. A single nodule had been present for approximately 20 years. Six months earlier, the nodule had bled after trauma to the site, and subsequently, another nodule developed next to it.

Physical examination revealed 2 dermal nodules lying adjacent to one another on the left side of the patient's nose (Figure 1). There was no obvious connection to the skin surface, and no discharge was noted.

Linear incision was performed over the nodules, which were then removed by blunt dissection and enucleation. Histologic sections were stained with hematoxylin-eosin (Figure 2 and Figure 3), and immunohistochemical studies were performed.
