2005: A Banner Year for New US Youth Access Tanning Restrictions

Since this article does not have an abstract, we have provided the first 150 words of the full text and any section headings.

In 2003, we published a report comparing UV tanning with tobacco youth access laws in 6 nations.1 At that time, all US states restricted tobacco purchase by minors, but only 3 US states had in place minimum age limits for UV tanning patrons: Texas, Illinois, and Wisconsin. This year 3 more states join that list: California, North Carolina, and New Hampshire. We have updated our 2003 data with new information below (Table) and continue to solicit information on any other youth access tanning restrictions known to ARCHIVES readers.

Table appears in full text version.
