REPORT OF CASES

CASE 1

In March 2003, a 23-year-old woman was referred to our department in the 30th week of her first pregnancy. She was originally from the Ukraine and had moved to Switzerland only 3 months before we first saw her. Two years earlier, she had developed a slowly growing nodule on the vertex scalp that was treated with electrocautery. No histologic analysis was performed at that time. One year later, the lesion recurred and, according to the patient, a biopsy specimen showed cutaneous papilloma. The wound failed to heal, and 3 months later a fast-growing black nodule appeared.
