The increasing number of reports of adverse reactions causedby cosmetic tattoo pigment^1-2 should "ring the warning bell."To help prevent these negative effects, perhaps consultationwith a dermatologist should be demanded by medical associationsbefore permanent makeup is applied, thus giving evidence-basedmedical information about possible adverse effects of this popularcosmetic procedure, even if it is mainly offered in nonmedicalinstitutions.
