REPORT OF A CASE

An otherwise healthy 65-year-old man presented with a 6-month history of a rapidly growing nodule on his scalp. Physical examination revealed an exophytic, hemorrhagic, partially necrotic tumor measuring 30 mm in diameter (Figure 1) in the center of the scalp.The patient had no lymphadenopathy, and palpation of his spleen and liver demonstrated no abnormalities. The findings of radiography of the cranium were normal. A biopsy specimen was obtained from a nonnecrotic area of the lesion (Figure 2 and Figure 3).
