REPORT OF A CASE

A 43-year old healthy man presented with a 10-year history of a solitary, cutaneous, asymptomatic, raised nodular lesion on his leg. Findings from physical examination showed that the lesion was a pink to flesh-colored nodular plaque, measuring 1.2 cm in the greatest diameter and situated on the posterolateral aspect of his leg above the lateral malleolus (Figure 1). On palpation, the lesion was well delineated, firm, and nontender andshowed no association with mobility of the ankle or knee joints. A shave biopsy specimen of the lesion was obtained (Figure 2 and Figure 3).
