To the Editor:—

It has been, for a long time, a matter of regret among leprologists that many dermatologists take a rather disinterested approach to a subject which affects the lives of many millions of people. Usually we do not complain. The November 1969 copy of the ARCHIVES has carried this disinterest to the point of rudeness. If you have not already done so, I trust that you will make suitable amends at the earliest possible moment. I refer to the cavalier disregard of the names of world-famous leprologists which is shown on pages 650 and 651.

By "Dr. W.T. Chong" I presume you mean Dr. Y.T. Chang of the National Institutes of Health. By "Reiss of London" I presume you mean Dr. R.J.W. Rees of the British Medical Research Council Laboratories. By "Dr. Picelli of Burma" I presume you mean Dr. L.M. Bechelli, the chief of the WHO Leprosy . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
