Academy Board to Consider Plans for Reorganizational Structure
A major step will be taken next month to implement changes in the organizational structure of the American Academy of Dermatology. The Board of Directors, meeting in Dallas, Tex., on Sept. 7, will consider a report from the Committee on Reorganization.
The special committee—chaired by AAD Secretary Treasurer Dr. John M. Shaw—has solicited recommendations from officers, directors, committee chairmen, and others involved in Academy affairs. Of prime concern will be the integration of activities currently handled by the AAD's National Program for Dermatology into the new organizational structure.
Meanwhile, Rudolf L. Baer, M.D., AAD President, has indicated that final arrangements are being made for facilities to house the new headquarters office of the Academy in the Chicago area.
