Generalized Rash From Whirlpools and Hot Tubs

Whirlpools and hot tubs are becoming popular. In 1976, Washburn and co-workers1 reported an outbreak of a generalized rash secondary to Pseudomonas aeruginosa in patients using a motel whirlpool. Recently, I have seen several patients whose history and clinical lesions are similar to those previously described. I have not been able to find any other descriptions of patients . . .
