To the Editor.—

I want to report the 28th case of pityriasis lichenoides chronica (PLC) of Juliusberg¹ seen as a leukoderma. To my knowledge, the last report in the American literature of this association was in 1922,² although several recent articles in other countries^3-5 have been published.

Report of a Case.—

A 10-year-old boy was seen on July 12,1980, complaining of a three-year history of loss of cutaneous pigment. This had appeared initially on the trunk but was followed by asymptomatic extension to his extremities. No acral or mucosal involvement was present. Preceding inflammatory changes were denied by the patient as was exposure to Hansen's disease or heavy metals. The patient was atopic, was not receiving any medication, and was, otherwise, in good health. His birth had been full term and without complications.
