To the Editor.—
In a letter to the editor in the April ARCHIVES entitled: "The Leech: Of Dermatologic Interest?" (1983;119:276-277) Ross stated that nothing was found in the dermatologic literature regarding leeches. However, it should be noted that in my texts Contact Dermatitis, (ed 2, Philadelphia, Lea & Febiger, 1973, p 346) and Atlas of Aquatic Dermatology (New York, Grune & Stratton Inc, 1978, p 66) there are descriptions of leech-associated lesions of interest to dermatologists.
