To the Editor.—

While reviewing the June 1982 issue of the ARCHIVES recently, I experienced a sense of déjà vu. This phenomenon occurred as I was reading the article entitled "Severe Osteolytic Arthritis Mutilans in Pustular Psoriasis" by Mahowald and Parrish.¹ Their case report was reminiscent of the case of a patient I managed during my residency training at the University of Wisconsin Health Sciences Center, Madison, while rotating through the Veterans Administration Hospital. Subsequently, this patient's case was reported in the ARCHIVES in an article entitled "Mutilating Acrodermatitis Continua (Hallopeau's Acrodermatitis)" by McDonald and Lowe,² a junior resident and staff physician, respectively.

I believe the case of the patient reported by Mahowald and Parrish is the same as that reported by McDonald and Lowe.
