First Joint Meeting of the Japanese and Canadian Societies for Investigative Dermatology.
From May 31 through June 2, 1996, the Canadian Society for Investigative Dermatology (CSID) and the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology (JSID) will hold their first joint meeting. The locale: Whistler, British Columbia. The theme: what can we learn and expect from our studies of basic biology and molecular biology of the skin? Current concepts and application to new diagnosis and treatment approaches of skin diseases will be discussed. The content consists of two plenary sessions, one clinically oriented research smallgroup session, poster reviews, and the following workshops: "Melanin Pigmentation and Malignant Melanoma"; "Genetic Analysis and Gene Therapy"; and "Cytokines and Dendritic Cells."
