A CASE OF MORPHEA. Presented by DR. COE for DR. ALDERSON.

A robust young woman, aged 22, presented a typical roundish morphea lesion, about 2 cm. in diameter, on the left side of the neck. Just below it there was a smaller morphea spot, and about 2 cm. below that a small oval hypertrophic scar 0.5 cm. in diameter. The scar developed out of apparently healthy skin without any previous pyogenic or glandular lesion or history of the application of caustics.

The patient was first seen six years before presentation, at which time she was a small girl. At that time she had had the lesions for several months with no history of illness or any other disturbance that might have been associated with the disease.
