In our recent article on "Dermatosis Papulosa Nigra" (ARCH. DERMAT. & SYPH.20:629 [Nov.] 1929), we called attention on two occasions (pp. 633 and 637) to the similarity of the histologic picture of senile keratosis and dermatosis papulosa nigra. This was a mistake. We really meant verruca senilis instead of keratoma senile as we have recognized the distinction between these disorders since the article of Freudenthal (Arch. f. Dermat. n. Syph.152:505, 1926). Old teaching did not clearly distinguish between keratoma senile and verruca senilis, but we believe that we should do so now. . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
