A CASE FOR DIAGNOSIS (SARCOID?). Presented by DR. ABRAMOWITZ.

Mrs. J. S., aged 49, was born in Russia. She had had no previous illnesses. Two years before presentation, an eruption began on her forehead, spreading to her cheeks. During the month previous to presentation, lesions had appeared on her back. All the lesions were of the same appearance; they varied in size from that of a quarter to that of a half dollar, and were bluish red. The lesions were edematous, infiltrated and slightly scaly. Numerous follicular points were visible in each patch, but no atrophy could be noted. A blood count, Wassermann test and a biopsy had been taken but reports had not been received.

DISCUSSION

DR. WALZER: I am inclined to consider this a case of leukemia. The lesions on the face may possibly suggest sarcoid. From the color of the lesions, I should be inclined to put . . . [Full Text PDF of this Article]
