URTICARIA PIGMENTOSA WITH UNUSUALLY WIDESPREAD LESIONS. Presented by DR. WISE.
P. M., a girl, aged 6, from the Post-Graduate Clinic, was born in this country. The family and personal history were negative. The pigmented lesions first appeared when the child was about 2 months old. Her general health was exceptionally good, she being a robust and well nourished child. She presented a generalized pigmented macular and plaquelike eruption involving the greater portion of the skin and affecting the face and scalp. The lesions varied in size from pea-sized macules and papules to areas over 1 inch (2.5 cm.) in diameter, especially on her back and abdomen. The color varied in different lesions, and even in the same plaque, from salmon-yellow to deep brown. On the neck, the lesions were striped, the stripes extending longitudinally along the sides of the neck. There was a moderate degree of dermographism and urticaria, but
