A CASE FOR DIAGNOSIS. Presented by DR. HANS J. SCHWARTZ.

H. G., a jurist, gave a past history of no importance except that he was troubled with heart burn, constipation, indigestion, flatulence and a dull pain on the right side of the abdomen. A complete physical examination made three years prior to consultation revealed nothing of note except abdominal distention and a slight tenderness over the region of the gallbladder. The Wassermann test was negative; the urine was negative for albumin and sugar; the chemical examination of the blood was negative except that there was 3.44 mg. of uric acid per hundred cubic centimeters. The duodenal contents were negative except for a small number of pus cells, and streptococci were found on culture.
