A CASE FOR DIAGNOSIS. Presented by DR. R. C. JAMIESON.

O. G., a man, aged 33, presented a large coin-sized sluggish ulcer with undermined edges above the right knee. It had appeared six months previously, simulating a furuncle, and following incision and drainage it had refused to heal. Ultraviolet, roentgen and antisyphilitic therapy had been tried with no success. The Wassermann test and urinalysis gave negative results.

DISCUSSION

DR. E. C. TROXELL: I consider the lesion tuberculous. Epithelial growth may often be stimulated by strapping an ulcer with adhesive tape.

DR. GEORGE VAN RHEE: The condition is probably tuberculous and not syphilitic.

DR. C. W. BEHN: The possibility of endothelioma should be considered.

DR. R. A. C. WOLLENBERG: The condition appears to be an infectious granuloma.

CORNU CUTANEUM. Presented by DR. C. K. VALADE.
