The primary macular atrophies are of sufficient rarity and interest to warrant the report of a classic case of the Schweninger-Buzzi type of cicatricial atrophy. The interesting feature is the linear distribution of the lesions on the shoulders and upper part of the back, a fact which coincides with Schweninger and Buzzi's original description.¹

REPORT OF CASE

History.—

J. B., a white woman, married, aged 26, was first seen in June, 1929, at St. Mary's Dispensary where she sought treatment for "spots" on her body.

The family history was unimportant. There was no history of any cutaneous diseases in the parents or relatives.
