This is a handy reference book, covering the whole domain of therapeutics and materia medica. It is a reliable summary of therapeutics and materia medica, which must be valuable to any one in refreshing the memory and which the dermatologist may well have on his desk. Nowhere else, in the reviewer's knowledge, is so much information on these subjects so conveniently available. That it has proved a useful volume is shown by the fact that six editions have been issued, and it now contains more than 1,350 pages. Of these, 1,200 pages in this edition are devoted to therapeutics, which is fortunately under the editorial supervision of Dr. Bernard Fantus of the University of Illinois, who to those who know him is easily first in his knowledge of this subject and who combines with this exceptional knowledge profound scholarship and ripe experience in the practice of medicine. . . .
