DISCUSSION

DR. J. GARDNER HOPKINS, New York: It is hard to see how these multiple soft tumors, which are bilateral and symmetrical and are limited to the hands, can be sarcomas. I hesitate to argue about the histology when I have looked at the section only for a couple of minutes. It is a long time since I have seen a giant cell sarcoma. The chief thing I remember is the staphyloid giant cells. In epulis tumors the cells have the same character. I wonder whether this condition might be xanthoma or something of that sort with a giant cell reaction.
